Gone are the traditional markers and waypoints; instead, we’re drawn into a world of organic exploration, where each discovery feels like a personal triumph. 

The game’s innovative approach to world design has set a new standard, seamlessly blending above-ground vistas with sprawling underground realms. As players explore where Elden Ring takes place, they uncover a world rich in lore and mystery, from the haunting Mohgwyn Palace to the serene Jarburg village. The Sites of Grace offer subtle guidance with their faint light trails, but the real excitement lies in straying from these predetermined paths. These discoveries, along with areas like the Frenzied Flame Proscription hiding behind illusory walls, make us wish we could wipe our memories clean, just to experience the thrill of uncovering Elden Ring’s secrets all over again. Each title brought something unique to the table. Melee showed us competitive depth, Wii Sports united families, and Jak & Daxter created an uninterrupted world. The memories stay fresh in our minds – even as we transitioned from Rated E games to eventually getting our moms to say yes to Rated R. Nothing matches the wonder of that first play-through.
