RIP Vin Scully, Legendary Broadcaster Dies at 94

There aren’t too many people who are the undisputed best at what they do. When you’re talking about all-time GOATs, in baseball, basketball, football, whatever the case, there is at least some discourse amongst fans.

Vin Scully is an exception to that rule. He is undoubtably, unquestionably, the greatest sports announcer and broadcaster of all-time. Your favorite broadcasters favorite broadcaster. The man that every person who strived to be a play-by-play announcer and call live sporting events modeled themselves after, aspired to be, and admired.

He passed away on August 2, 2022, just six years after he stepped away from the microphone for the last time.  There are not many people left in this world who are genuinely good and admired by all, but Scully was one of them. No one gets to be the best at something for 60 plus years, but Scully did. With all the seemingly unbreakable records in sports, Scully’s 67 years behind a mic may never be topped.

He was truly one of a kind, and there will simply never be another Vin Scully. RIP to a legend.
